The artwork dominates the cover, as the magazine opted not to include a headline for the first time in more than a decade.
In the picture, the famous cathedral's spires, which seemingly represent Russia's growing influence and presence in Washington, tower above the White House. The landmarks's red bricks also cover more than half of the DC building.

It was reported this week by the Washington Post the president shared highly classified information during an Oval Office meeting with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.
Reuters then reported Thursday Trump campaign allegedly shared at least 18 calls and emails with Russians in the final stages of the presidential race.
Michael Flynn and other advisers contacted people with Kremlin ties during the last seven months of the campaign, according to current and former US officials familiar with the exchanges.
Former FBI Director James Comey was also fired reportedly just days after he asked for resources to expand the investigation into potential Russian ties to Trump's White House.

The story could cause the president to sour on the prestigious magazine. Trump has featured on the cover of Time multiple times, and he has referred to it as 'a great honor'.
But in the months since Trump's election win, most of his appearances on the cover of the magazine have been critical of his performance - largely due to the avalanche of reported scandals besieging his presidency.
Trump has denied there was collusion between Russia and his campaign, and claimed in a tweet Thursday he has been subject to 'the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!'
