Tottenham Hotspur are looking into a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Benjamin Henrichs as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker.

Manchester City are pursuing Walker, but Spurs remain adamant he will only leave if his £50 million valuation is met.

The situation is likely to become more clear at the end of this week when he is due to return to pre-season at Tottenham.

Spurs are making enquiries into other defenders in case he moves on. One of those targets is believed to be Henrichs, who interestingly has also been on Man City's radar.

Tottenham scouts have been keeping tabs on 20-year-old Henrichs since he impressed against them in the Champions League last season.

Henrichs plays primarily at right-back but can also play on the left side, and he has a naturally attacking style of play.

Despite the German signing a new deal at Bayer in May, there is a feeling he could be lured away with the right offer.

Meanwhile, the situation regarding Ross Barkley is also one to look out for in the coming weeks, as he could also yet end up at White Hart Lane.

His price tag is likely to drop from an original £50 million valuation—and could possibly even fall below the £30 million mark.
