Dembele confirms Barca interest while Verratti meets agent

Veratti was widely reported to be eyeing the exit door at Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week and these new reports say Barcelona is the midfielder's preferred destination.

Marco Verratti has been joined by his agent in Ibiza for what are reportedly talks over a move to Barcelona.

Catalan sportsheet Mundo Deportivo, claims that Veratti's agent, Donato di Campli, joined his client in Ibiza on Wednesday to plot a move to the Nou Camp. 

Veratti was widely reported to be eyeing the exit door at Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week and these new reports say Barcelona, looking to improve their squad after a single-trophy season, is his preferred destination.

Both Di Campli and Veratti have met with PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique to signal the player's intention to leave Parc des Princes. 

Barcelona are not just after one big name capture this summer. Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele continues to be linked with a move to the Nou Camp and the player has revealed he had contact with the club last summer.

The 20-year-old, who scored the winner for France in their 3-2 victory over England on Tuesday night, impressed for Dortmund last season and found the net in the final to help his side win the German Cup.

He has persistently been linked with a move to Barcelona and has now admitted he was in contact with club officials last summer regarding a potential transfer.

'Last year I had contact with the Barcelona sports director,' he said, via Mundo Deportivo. 

'I'm good at Dortmund. I have a contract until 2021. I don't pay attention to what is said.'
