Chelsea have offered Nathaniel Chalobah a new five year contract worth around £60,000 a week but he is mulling over offers from Southampton, Swansea and Watford.

Chalobah has one year left on contract though it is understood to hold a release clause allowing him to leave for a set fee which is believed to be around £6million.

Chalobah made 15 appearances for Chelsea last season and is keen to see where he fits in with Antonio Conte's plans.

The Premier League champions have an array of midfield options and Chalobah's opportunities could be limited.

Conte could yet re-shuffle his pack with Nemanja Matic rumoured to be nearing an exit.

There is still a possibility that new faces and departures could see Chalobah elevated in the pecking order.

Chalobah's Chelsea teammate Lewis Baker is wanted on a two year loan by Championship club Reading.

The England U21 international has also been discussed by Bournemouth as Chelsea consider what is best for his next stage of development.

The 22-year-old is keen to stay and make an impression on Chelsea's first team but Antonio Conte may yet look to bring in more experience.
