Golf's toughest test awaits for the likes of Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth at the year's second major, the US Open.

This year's tournament is being held at Erin Hills in Wisconsin, and in true US Open tradition it has already attracted plenty of controversy, with some players complaining bitterly about the length of the rough.

McIlroy has told his peers to stop whining, however, and he will be among the favourites for the big prize.

Masters champion Sergio Garcia is among the field, as is the man he beat in a play-off at Augusta, England's Justin Rose. Other big guns include reigning Open champion Henrik Stenson, US PGA winner Jason Day and the players tipped as the next big things in golf, American Rickie Fowler and Jon Rahm of Spain.

But the man to beat will be defending champion and world No 1 Johnson. Find out if anyone can stop the huge-hitting American over the next four days, right here.

Feeling rough...

Rory McIlroy certainly is. Kevin Na, not so much. Take a look at the American's epic whinge about the fescue rough at Erin Hills HERE. (To be fair, it is pretty ridiculous.)

Good day, folks. Who's up for the most sadistic tournament in golf?

Erin Hills looks tough... but what do you expect from a US Open?
