Barcelona have taken up an option to complete the permanent signing of promising young defender Marlon Santos from Fluminense.
Despite interest elsewhere, the 21-year-old has signed a three-year-deal having been on loan at the club in 2016-17.
Santos made just three senior appearances last term having mostly featured for Spanish outfit's B-team.

But new boss Ernesto Valverde has been impressed with the Brazil Under 20 international and could increase his first-team chances next term.
Spanish reports suggest a loan move to Real Betis is also on the cards, but the transfer is set to spell the end of Jeremy Mathieu's career at the Nou Camp.
The 34-year-old has been a fringe player since joining from Valencia in 2014, with Greek side Olympiacos interested in signing the former France international.
Barcelona's recruitment drive is set to continue this summer with the club also keen to bring in Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Italian midfielder's agent though admits a deal to the Nou Camp is far from being completed.
'It's very complicated [to leave], but we have expressed our ideas to PSG. We're not talking about Barcelona or other clubs, it's about projects,' Di Campli told Sky Italia.
'I think I represent a champion and clearly I have questions. To be a champion you have to win.
'If PSG don't want to sell him, despite offers from all over Europe, then we'd have to examine our position.'
