England and Germany shared the spoils on Friday night, after neither side were able to break the deadlock after a busy 90 minutes of football.
The visitors came closest when Leroy Sane saw an effort blocked off the line by Phil Jones, though the Three Lions held strong on a promising night which saw several youngsters make their international debuts.
Sportsmail's Sam Cunningham was watched on from the press box to deliver his player ratings.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was a stand-out performer for England on his international debut
Jordan Pickford 7
Alert in the first few seconds of his debut to clear Maguire’s poor back pass. Brilliant one-handed low dives to left and right to deny Werner.
Phil Jones 6
Headed Sane’s rebound off the line, but came off in the 25th minute injured.
John Stones 6.5
Raced back to cut out a near-post ball to Werner and prevent a goal. Got a toe to the ball to deny Draxler.
Harry Maguire 6
Scuff in the opening minute almost let Werner in. Dribble and pass set up Abraham.
Kieran Trippier 7
Unable to convert at the back post in the second minute as Vardy crossed, but such an asset down the right with his attacking and delivery.
Jake Livermore 6
Snapped away at German heels. Shot just wide at the end of the first half.
Jake Livermore put in a spirited performance and shot just wide at the end of the first half
Eric Dier 6
Captain for the night and played the role well with a young team around him.
Danny Rose 6
A little rusty from his lack of games for Spurs. Played Werner onside but got away with it.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek 7.5
Neat work in the hole. Uber confident debut. A double nutmeg provided some entertainment. Chipped ball sent Vardy through.
Tammy Abraham 6
An inch away from scoring less than two minutes into his debut, but couldn’t reach Vardy’s ball. Tried a little too hard. Subbed second half.
Tammy Abraham came agonisingly close to scoring on his debut and at times tried too hard
Jamie Vardy 6
Should’ve scored when played through by Loftus-Cheek but got lob wrong. Unlucky with header early in second half.
Manager: Gareth Southgate 6
Will have been pleased to see an exciting England team and learn how much depth he has.

Part of a tight Germany back three who let little through them.

Cut out Rose’s low cross as Vardy steamed in behind to convert. Another stretch scooped Dier’s cross over the bar.
Mats Hummels put in several last-ditch clearances to keep England at bay at Wembley

Great passing out from the back. Blocked Abraham’s shot and the deflection almost bounced in.
Joshua Kimmich 6
Bold chested pass back to his own goalkeeper from Trippier’s cross almost forced an own goal.

A pass intended for Draxler fortuitously turned into a through-ball for Werner.
Ilkay Gundogan played a steady game in midfielder for the visitors with some nice passing

Lovely threaded pass to set Werner free, but his team-mate failed to score. Constantly the linking player for Germany.

Lightning down the left flank, although he was involved often early on but faded.
Julian Draxler 6
Fired over the cross bar to end a flurry of Germany chances.
Timo Werner 6
Through on goal twice in the first half but Pickford saved excellently each time. Subbed with 15 minutes remaining.
Leroy Sane 7
Hit the bar with an outrageous effort curled from the edge of the area. Saw another rebound shot headed off the line.
Leroy Sane was a livewire for Germany and came closest out of anybody to finding the net

Likely to be disappointed that his team did not beat an England side with several key players missing.
